There are a number of different astral projection techniques available for people to use to help them astral project. With every person being an individual, what works for one person will not necessarily work for another.
Interestingly enough, many people encounter problems with certain methods although for the most part, this is not because of the method they choose to use, but rather because they are unable to relax.
It simply cannot be stressed enough that total relaxation is vital if you are to achieve any measure of success with astral projection. The inability to relax seems to be more prevalent between those just starting out, largely because of fear.
This is a fear that comes from the false belief that a person could lose their life or be harmed in some way when they astral project. To abash everyone of those fears, the Canterbury Institute conducted a study on astral projection. This institute is also know for it’s studies of the occult.
The study included 2000 people, and all participated in astral projection. What was found in the research by the institute was not one person, who followed the seven techniques of astral projection harmed in anyway. And more important, they followed those people for three years and not one individual complained of any problems.
All fears have been put to rest. Now lets look at some astral projection techniques, which are easy and have been very successful for many people. Here are the seven steps of astral projection techniques.
* Relaxing mind and body. The simplest way to achieve this is by practicing deep breathing, in addition to relaxing all the muscles of the body one at a time. You can do this by tensing and then the releasing them, starting with your toes and then working your way up through the rest of your body.
* Reaching the hypnotic state of mind. Essentially, this is a state of mind where your mind and body are right on the brink of going to sleep. Of course, you should not actually fall to sleep and in order to avoid doing so, it is advisable that you use the gazing method. This involves focusing on any object in the room while you lie on your bed. Simply continue staring at the object until such time that your eyes close even though you can still see the object in front of you.
* You see the object, your eyes are closed and now you need to move to a deeper state of relaxation. Look around, with your eyes closed and try to see other images in the room. The possibility is that you may see different and varied light patterns. The room may be clothed in a purple light, ignore it. But once you have seen the purple light, you will know you have entered a deeper state of relaxation. Completely relaxed, the awareness of your physical body will no longer be there and this is an important technique of astral projection.
* The state of Vibration is the next to accomplish. People who have practiced the techniques of astral projection have noticed they feel these vibrations early into the projections. These people believe the feelings experienced is believed by them that this is the feeling when the astral body leaves your physical body. Nothing to be alarmed about, it is the vibrations you feel.
* This step might be known as controlling the vibrations. Start by focusing on them and feeling the way that they move through the body. Then work on controlling them with your mind. Feel them, and control them all at once and make sure that you can bring the waves on when you want to. Can you change the frequency and can you make sure that you can find them when you need/ if so, it is time to try to leave your body.
* The secret to astral travel and projection is for you to be in control with your mind. Remaining focused mentally on the thought of exiting the physical body, 1st have a foot or maybe a hand go as fast as the astral body. Stretch either to an item that is close to you, as in maybe the floor, a wall, or any other item that is familiar, now place you foot or hand completely through this item. Now you need to bring the hand or foot back again to the physical body, calm down and stop the vibrations and bring session to a close. Keep laying on the bed until you have become to an awakened state completely.
* The final step is where you will leave your body. Repeat the first six steps until you feel comfortable with them, but this time, instead of returning yourself to an awake stage, continue to disengage your astral self from your body. When you have mastered disengaging a hand or a foot, try doing it with your whole body now. Focus on releasing your body through thinking about how light it feels and how weightless it really is. You are light, like feathers blowing in the wind and you will soon get a feeling as though you are floating or flying!
Other popular methods include techniques such as the gazing method, the anchor method, and the rope technique. Ideally, one should spend some time experimenting with the different techniques in order to establish which technique suits you the most.
However, be aware that astral projection is not for everyone and using the techniques described in this article require a lot of practice.
For those who don’t necessarily have the luxury of time, modern sound technology has provided us with a rather impressive shortcut. This shortcut makes use of different sound frequencies known as binaural beats, in order to induce a meditative state of mind which is ideal for those wanting to practice astral projection. Essentially, when these beats are played into each ear, it results in the two hemispheres of the brain becoming synchronized, and a meditative state follows almost instantaneously.
Another method of getting totally relaxed is listening to high quality hypnosis recordings for astral projection techniques. These aid the subconscious mind in knowing that it is safe for your astral body to transport away from your physical body.
Astral projection is something that can change your life, and by using some of the techniques listed above, you will find that it can definitely change yours, too!
