Every person in the world man, woman and child is born with the ability to astral project. This is a very real ability and practice is the only difference between those who rarely astral project or do so with difficulty and those who can astral project at will.

Believed to be an ancient practice, followers say this practice should be treated with respect. Astral projection is a lot like meditating or yoga and comes in many different forms.

Lucid dreaming, for example. You already know what lucid dreaming is this is when you are conscious within a dream and able to direct the course of the dream. This takes practice to do reliably, but it is as simple as saying to yourself ‘I am dreaming’ while you are in the middle of a dream.

Saying this key phrase ‘I am dreaming’ over and over again, allows you to wake up in your dream and do anything you desire. This may take time to learn and can be difficult, so don’t be discouraged.

You have already astral projected, even if you are not specifically aware of it.

Have you ever remembered a dream vividly upon awakening? The memory is so vivid that it feels as though you actually experienced it. This indicates you had an astral projection.

Being able to astral project all begins with knowing that this is something that you have the ability to do. Astral projecting is an inborn ability in all of us. You need to eliminate doubt from your mind; this can be keeping you from being able to astral project when you want.

Learn some good meditation and relaxation techniques; these will make it easier for you to astral project. Meditation will get your mind and body ready for the experience of astral projection.

Start practicing relaxation and meditation routines you like to get prepared.

Do your meditation in a quiet, comfortable room where you will not be distracted as you meditate. Clear all thoughts from your mind.

Focus on your breathing, which should be slow and deep. As you exhale, visualize all of your worries leaving your mind along with your breath. You’ll soon be in a state of deep relaxation ideal for astral projection.

The next step is to go into an altered conscious state. Keep focusing on your breathing, your problems are gone, your mind is blank.

Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, breathing deeper and slower as you become more relaxed. Concentrate on relaxing your body even more.

Start with your toes, as they are the most remote part of your body. There are two ways to do this. You can simply tell each part of your body to relax or tense the muscles up first and then relax each part. Tell each part of your body to relax as you move up. Use the method that you are most comfortable with.

With each exhalation, you should feel the tension leaving your body. Once your body is completely and totally relaxed you will be ready to move onto the next stage necessary for you to successfully astral project.

The next step, sleep. You have prepared your mind and body for s deep sleep, but remember to stay alert and relaxed. Come up with your own phrase such as ‘I fly, I fly’ there is no wrong motto, so find one that you are comfortable with.

If you begin to get bored as the mind tends to do when it has nothing to focus on, you may have to reel it back in. If you are stuck in this rut, either end the session or use your phrase to bring your mind back into focus.

Reaching an altered state of consciousness requires several steps. Repeating your motto repeatedly can help you reach the next level. The body of light technique is where you focus on a body of light in your mind and see yourself transforming into this light.

You can watch for these three signs to know that you are beginning to astral project. One is feeling a sensation of motion, even though your body will be at rest. Another is “seeing” colors and lights with your eyes closed.

Voices will tell you to go on and encourage you or tell you to stop now as a warning. When you hear these voices, it means you have succeeded in astral projecting.
