the out of body experience

At one time or another most people have heard about doing astral projection. Maybe they have a friend that practices it, or watched some movie about it, or even read a book on the subject.

However, it seems very few know that astral projection is a genuine occurrence. It is something that we can all naturally do. You may have even projected and never realize that you did so. Many people do.

So just what is astral projection? Astral projection is leaving your body and traveling outside of yourself. This commonly happens while we are asleep.

While we sleep, our physical body is at rest, the subconscious mind then takes control. While this is going on an individual is astral projecting, although for the most part, they will not remember doing so.

A person goes wherever they want to when they astral project. If you were to try to remember your childhood, you might recall doing this at night when you went to sleep. As you grew older, you likely began to forget. Because there is no such thing as time or distance in astral projection, its possible to go just about anywhere. When you are asleep, only your physical body is asleep. Your astral body is able to travel.

You may be asking at this point what is meant by th astral body? The meaning of the term astral body is the body’s invisible duplicate, also called the ethereal body. It is where all of our wishes and feelings are stored in our body. I bet you are wondering how the astral body can leave and then also return to the physical body? There is this silver cord that connects the physical body with the astral body.

This silver cord was attached at the moment that the astral body entered the physical body, and cannot be cut until the astral body departs from the physical body for a final time in death.

This silver cord is what keeps the astral body from straying away.

Another question that many have is where do you go when you astral project? The astral body goes to the astral plane, which is the ‘body double’ of the Earth. This vibrates faster then the physical Earth and those vibrations penetrate to the Earth’s core. Others define the astral plane as another dimension of reality. Most will agree though that there is more then one level to the astral plane.

After learning this information, it is only natural to start to wonder if there are any dangers to astral project. The answer is not as simple as a straightforward yes or no. While astral projection is something that everyone is capable of doing and that the astral body is attached to the physical body by a tie that can only be broken by death there is still a need to remain conscience of what is going on while astral projecting and be in a state to maintain that frame of mind.

Astral projecting while in a chemically induced altered state can be dangerous; your astral body will be affected and travel the lower levels of the astral plane, which are more hazardous.

The key to astral projection involves knowing what it is you are doing and where you want to go while doing it. You must have complete control of what your astral body may be doing, since your thoughts control your projection experiences.

If you take the time to get properly prepared ahead of time, you might find that you are able to astral project quite quickly.

You might find it useful to go to some group sessions which are conducted by professionals who can help you prepare for a successful astral projection and give you the help you need to make the most of the experience of astral travel. You may want to try both and see which works the best for you.

There are also many books and resources available in print and on the internet. For example, you might try listening to a quality astral projection hypnosis recording to enter the right state of mind.

There is an advantage to these types of recordings. You can have them play on repeat giving people who may find it difficult to prepare the time necessary to reach the appropriate state of mind; this extra time might not be available if professional sessions are used.

Sound technology can also be helpful. There is a technology known as binaural beats, which plays a variety of frequencies in each ear. These frequencies are slightly different and as a result relax the body quickly. This places the mind into a deep meditation making it easier to astral project.

Don’t get frustrated if you are not able to successfully astral project the first time or even the second or third time. This is something that you must practice.

Realize that this is a skill that you will need to practice. You do not have to acquire this ability; it is one we all have. We simply have forgotten how and must fine tune this inherent ability.

If you still don’t believe in astral projection, just remember the last time that you had a dream that you were flying followed by a sensation of falling right before you awoke. The sensation of flying was how it feels to travel with your astral body and the falling was your astral body coming back to you.

Astral projection is not imaginary; it is very real! Anyone can do it and experience its benefits if they only take some time to hone this natural ability.
