It's essential for any of the seven techniques of Outer Body Experience to be successful. The inability to relax is caused by fear. It's common among those just learning these techniques. The fears are the result of false beliefs that maybe harm, or even death could come to the person who is trying astral project. To help alleviate those fears the Canterbury Institute conducted and researched a study. The Canterbury Institute is well know for their studies of the occult. There were 2000 subjects involved in this study and all of them were participants in Outer Body Experience. What was found was that not a single individual, following the techniques of Outer Body Experience, were harmed in anyway. Even more significant, everyone, followed for three years and not one individual had complained of or suffered from any problems due to Outer Body Experience. Now that any fears or concerns should be put to rest, it is time to take a look at a few different Outer Body Experience techniques that are fairly easy and have been successful for a lot of people. The first is what is known as the Monroe Technique. There are seven main steps to this Outer Body Experience technique:- * Firstly you need to relax. You need to relax your body and mind in preparation. Several techniques are available to you and are simple to use. Deep breathing is one and very simple. You breath everyday, but now you are going to breath deeply, slow and calmly. Do deep inhales and exhale deeply as well. Relax all your muscles one by one. Tensing first and then relaxing them. Start with your toes and work upward toward you head. * Hypnosis is used frequently to produce a deep state of relaxation. Where your mind and body are so relaxed you fall into a hypnotic state near sleep. Do not fall asleep. You may also use another known as the gazing method by focusing on an object as you lounge on a chair or from a reclining position on your bed.. Focus on an object, staring at it. Close your eyes and you will still see the same object, as if your eyes were open. * Once you can visualize the object when your eyes are closed you will need to take the state you are in deeper. A good method of doing this is glance around (with closed eyes) and notice what you are able to see. Its possible that you may see light patterns that are different, you may notice the room is veiled in purple. Don't take too much notice of this, once you cease seeing this light you will have successfully deepened your state. You are so totally relaxed now that you are no longer aware of your body physically. This is vital as per the Monroe Technique of Outer Body Experience. * This next step is the most vital according to Monroe. With the fourth step you will induce the state of vibration. Those who have been practicing the seven steps of Outer Body Experience techniques, have stated they feel the vibrations early in the projection. They believe that vibrations are the feelings you experience as the astral body starts to leave the physical body. Just feel the vibrations and do not be alarmed. * Now control the vibration while in this state. Focus, make the vibrations move through your body. This is done with your mind. You want to feel the vibrations through your whole body. Like waves washing over you. Practice this until you can feel the waves anytime you want them. When you can create waves on demand successfully you are ready to leave the body. * Use your mind- A key component to astral travel and projection is control and your mind is the one in control. Monroe recommends that to help in the strengthening of this control, you can practice a \"partial separation.\" Keeping focused, with your mind, on leaving the physical body. Starting first with a foot or a hand of the astral body and stretching it towards a familiar object. Maybe a floor, ceiling or wall. Now, which ever extremity you choose, push it through that object. Then pull back and return back to the physical body. Slow down the vibrations, end the session and stay unmoving where you are laying until you have returned to a fully awakened state. * This is the final step and where you will vacate your body. Follow steps one through six. And this time you won't be using a small part of your body like a hand or foot. You will be moving entirely into your astral body. There is simple adjustment to step six that is required. You will need to focus and think about the weightlessness of your body and how it feels. Like a small feather blowing in a light breeze. Floating or flying effortlessly and how very light it feels. It is here that the astral body should move out of the physical body. Different methods are available for you to avail yourself of them. Other techniques which are available are the Rope Technique, Gazing Method, and the Anchor Technique. If you spend time trying these techniques, you will find a technique that is good for you. A technique exist for everyone and there is one out there for you. Outer Body Experience truly is a life changing experience for everyone who tries it and by using these techniques it is possible for anyone who wishes to, to experience it. |

Outer Body Experience Just about everyone has heard of Outer Body Experience before. You might have heard someone talking about it or read of it somewhere, perhaps seen it in a film. What you might not know is that you can astral project – anyone can, in fact. You’ve already done so, though you might not remember it. You need to understand what Outer Body Experience really is. Outer Body Experience is the ability of an individual to leave his or her body. Everyone has the ability to do this; everyone does this when he or she lay down to sleep at night. While sleeping the physical mind is resting and the subconscious mind takes control. A person astral projects while this is happening. However, the majority may never remember astral projecting. You go wherever you want to go when you project. If you can recall your childhood you may be able to remember having the ability to do this after going to sleep, eventually you forgot, as you got older. There is no such thing as time and distance when it concerns Outer Body Experience, you can go anywhere. While you are sleeping, your physical body is asleep. Your astral body travels. This brings us to the next logical question – what is the astral body? The astral body is essentially an invisible 'double' of your physical body. The astral body is also known as the ethereal body, and is the seat of our feelings and desires. You may wonder why the astral body doesn’t just leave and never return. This is because the astral body remains connected to the physical body via a silver cord. The silver cord is there for your entire lifetime. From the moment of your birth, the silver cord is there, connecting your two bodies and is not cut loose until your astral body leaves the physical body behind at death. Where is it exactly that we go when astral projecting? You visit the astral plane which is to the physical universe as your astral body is to your physical body. There is no universal agreement among the experts about exactly how the astral plane is structured but most agree that the astral plane is an alternate reality which vibrates at a different rate than our own, just slightly out of sync with the universe we inhabit physically and that there are many different levels to the astral plane.. Can Outer Body Experience be dangerous? Well, the answer is a qualified no. While you can’t lose your astral body since the silver cord ensures its return to your physical form, there can be some hazards lurking on the astral plane. As long as you exercise the same basic caution as you would in the real world, however, you should be perfectly safe. Keep your wits about you and know where you want to go before you project there. The danger is when you astral project when your mind is clouded or incapacitated. For example, if your mind is impaired by alcohol or drugs, you might end up in bad places. These places are the lower levels of the astral plane. Just as if you were out exploring somewhere unfamiliar in the physical world, you need to pay attention to your surroundings and have a destination in mind. However, the real goal of practicing Outer Body Experience is to train yourself to exercise this ability consciously. When you can get your mind in full control of itself, you’ll be able to do this. If you have the right assistance to prepare yourself, learning Outer Body Experience can be easy and even possible to do in a short time. There are professionals who offer lessons, but most people prefer to practice this natural talent in their own home. There are also plenty of resources both online and in books which can help you to prepare yourself. Outer Body Experience hypnosis recordings are an aid which many find helps them to relax and begin projecting. These recordings can be played on repeat until they reach your subconscious and you begin to astral project. A new audio technology called binaural beats is also effective at inducing the state of relaxation required for Outer Body Experience. Two slightly different frequencies are played over each audio channel, tuning your mind into the proper state to astral project. You should not become frustrated when you are not successful at Outer Body Experience when you first begin. You must practice the art to perfect it. It is not something you must acquire, since we are all capable of doing it. However, you need to fine-tune your natural ability since you have forgotten it. Are you still sceptical about Outer Body Experience? Let’s talk about the times you’ve done it yourself then. Those dreams of flying which end with a sensation of falling right before you awake that we all have – those are not dreams at all! These are Outer Body Experience experiences. The feeling of flight is your astral body travelling and the feeling of falling is your astral body returning to the physical plane. Outer Body Experience is very real and with a little work, you can learn to do it anytime you like. |
