The Practise Of Out Of Body Experience
Anytime an individual experiences the sensation of floating outside of their body, this is called an OBE or out of body experience. This is an experience that has been scientifically proven to occur and ordinarily happens when a person is very close to death.
The concept of perceiving your own body from a realm or sphere that is outside of your body is what is known as astral projection, which is also an out of body experience. This is not an occurrence that should be ignored or scoffed at. There have been too many different accounts by a variety of people that have experienced an OBE and were able to come back and tell people what was happening in the room around them as people worked to save them.
In 1943 the term, out of body experience, began to be used rather than the belief centric term 'projection'. In the past, an out of body experience was called 'spirit walking' and scientists are currently researching this phenomenon because they simply can't think of it as something imaginary.
Consider that 1 out of every 10 people have encountered an experience such as this at one point in their life or another. The statistics for individuals that have experienced an out of body experience are staggering. So while a person may want to look at this skeptically, one can not deny the facts.
A person does not have to be near death to have an out of body experience. There are times that this can happen spontaneously. There are also times that an out of the body experience can be brought on by a mental or physical trauma. As well as when a person has used drugs or slipped into a coma.
There are a plethora of websites on the net that promise a person astral travel and astral projection joys. Astral projection is not a difficult thing for one to do, as long as that person does it the right way. It is believed that astral projection is a natural process, a process that has been since ancient times by ancient people. Unfortunately the generations of the ancients that are here today have forgotten about the art of astral projection. The good news is that out of body experiences do not require a high level of mental power or spiritual awareness or connectivity.
This does not mean that a person doesn't have to concentrate on one point. Understand that your conscious mind is going to hold you back out of fear. The fear that once your astral body is out it won't be able to get back in, hence leaving you an empty shell. This fear is a subconscious fear.
Belief also plays a role in being able to astral travel successfully. If you believe it is safe and actually possible for your astral body to leave your physical body and return unharmed, then your conscious mind will more readily let go of your astral self. If you have fear that your astral body will not be able to find its way back inside of your physical body or you fear your physical body will die without your astral body, then you should not play around with inducing an out of body experience.
If you have been able to completely silence your mind and truly believe it's possible, then you're likely ready to travel. In order to successfully go through an OBE, you will have to use both self hypnosis and meditation. Continue to the positively and keep telling yourself that you truly one to have a successful out of body experience. When your mind completely takes over, you will be incredibly receptive to the thought of astral travel.
You must choose a time and location where you will not be disturbed. Lie down with your arms at your sides. Take slow deep breaths and focus on your breathing to the exclusion of everything else. Enter a state of deep relaxation so that your physical body will let go of your astral body and let it go forth into new dimensions that are not open to mental or physical exploration. When your astral body is preparing to leave, your body will begin to tingle. Don't fight this sensation. Relax and let it happen. If any conscious thoughts pop into your mind, just ignore them and keep your focus on breathing.
Normally an out of body experience begins with vibrations and a rapid heartbeat. Allow these vibrations to completely engulf you. Make sure you remain calm. Don't allow yourself to become over excited, but the vibrations take over your body, soul, and heart. Before long you find that you have left your physical body and are beginning an exciting astral journey.
Many people have developed the ability to astral travel. Some of them report that the out of body experience is cut short because of their fear of getting to far away from the physical body. Others report they visit other realms where they undergo experiences that are so real they are certain they are not dreaming. You can learn how to astral travel just like humans have done throughout history, it all starts with the belief that you can.
