At one time or another most people have heard about doing out of body. Maybe they have a friend that practices it, or watched some movie about it, or even read a book on the subject.

Even though you may have some vague concept of it, you probably didn’t know that it’s something that you and everyone else in the world can do and have done before, even if you didn’t know it.

First though, what is out of body? To put it in the simplest possible terms, out of body is leaving your physical body. It’s something that often happens when you go to sleep. As your body rests, your conscious mind does as well but your subconscious remains active. This is when we are most likely to astral project, although most people do it without having any memory of the act.

When you do project you get to go wherever you want. As you remember when you were a child, you probably can recall doing this as you went to bed, as you grew up you have forgotten it though. You have limitless possibilities of places to go, there are no restrictions as far as distance or time where Out of Body is concerned. When you are sleeping your physical body is at sleep, while the astral body goes on a journey.

But what is your astral body? This is a duplicate of your physical body made of your subconscious will and desires. It is invisible to the eye and is tied to your body by a silver cord; so your astral body will always return after its travels.

The silver cord is attached from the moment that the astral body and the physical body connect. It only detaches at the moment of death when the astral and physical body permanently disconnect from each other. It is this cord that recalls the astral body to the physical body.

Something else you may consider is where do you go when you astral project? Your astral body goes to the astral plane. It is the invisible double body of the Earth. Its vibration is much faster than that of the physical Earth while it does penetrate into the core of the Earth. Many define it as another dimension of reality. In addition, most agree that there are various levels of the astral plane.

Even though your astral body will always return to you and you are at no danger of physical harm while astral projecting, you should exercise caution since there are some dangers in the astral plane. As long as you use common sense and basic caution though, you’ll be safe.

Let me caution you here, if your mind is in a dark place or not right then it becomes dangerous to astral project. If you are taking drugs or drinking alcohol it is not wise to astral project because you could wind up in some bad places. The lower levels of the astral plane contain the places that are bad.

You should know where you want to go and only astral project when you are in the proper frame of mind to do so. You want to have control over where your astral body goes and what it does.

You can learn Out of Body with relative ease and in little time if you prepare yourself. You could choose to take lessons with Out of Body professionals who can teach you some techniques. Alternately, you could do as most people do and learn on your own.

The internet is a good place to find help with your Out Of Body training. Especially good are Out Of Body hypnosis recordings. These recordings are designed to help you achieve the meditative state needed to astral project. A lot of people prefer these recordings to one on one lessons since they can be listened to repeatedly until their subliminal messages reach the subconscious and your body reaches a state of total relaxation.

Recently there have been great advances in sound technology called binaural beats. This works by playing slightly different degrees of sound frequencies in either ear. This offers a very quickly relaxing and deep state of meditation to occur which is essential for astral projecting success.

You may not be successful on the first few tries, but don’t let this discourage you. Out of Body takes practice just like any other skill. It’s a natural ability, but it does take some time and patience before you’ll be an expert at it.

Still skeptical? Think back to a time when you dreamed you were flying, or felt a sensation of falling. The flying sensation was your astral body moving through the astral planes. The feeling of falling was when you felt your astral body returning to your physical body.

out of body is naturally very real. We can all do it and find it beneficial in many ways. It does however; take time to fine-tune this natural ability.
