How To Astral Project - Other Dimensions Examined
Astral projection is not really the mysterious or mystic thing it's usually made out to be--it's a natural human capability. Numerous people have astral projection or astral travel experiences but don't realize it because they aren't in control of where they go or what they do.
Let's assume that you are already familiar with the astral plane and you know what astral projection is. The purpose of what follows is to tell you about a few different ways of engaging in astral projection. If you know which methods work best for you, you can know the powerful experience that is astral projection.
First we’ll look at a simple five step process which is a simple technique people can use when they go to bed.
*Starting down at your toes, tense each muscle and then relax it again. Once you repeated this with all your toes, repeat the same exercise with your feet by first tensing them and then relaxing them. You need to continue doing as you continue working your way up your body until you finally finish with your facial muscles. Obviously, this is best done while laying down on your bed and the purpose of doing it is to induce a deep state of relaxation.
*Now that you’ve managed to achieve a state of deep relaxation, you need to bring your breathing under control and the best way to do this, is by following a technique often taught in meditation. Take deep breath and allow yourself to actually feel the movement of air as it makes its way into your lungs. Now exhale slowly, once again paying attention to the feeling of the air leaving your body. Many people find this difficult as they become so relaxed, they simply fall asleep which of course, is something you need to avoid. Mentally trying to focus on the centre of your forehead will however help you remain conscious.
*The third phase is to focus on the concept weightlessness regarding your astral body as well as the real weight of your physical body. By this stage your physical body will be feeling heavy so try to picture it as being a huge lump of clay, heavy and difficult to move. Additionally, you need to focus on how light your astral body feels by comparison. Imagine it to be a large bubble starting to float away up into the air, or even some feathers drifting away on a gentle breeze. Still with your eyes closed, visualize your astral body starting to separate from your physical body and drift away, taking in the feeling of complete weightlessness. Acknowledge to yourself, that your physical body is extremely heavy and almost impossible to move; your astral body on the other hand, has absolutely no weight at all, free to drift on the wind.
*For many this is the exciting stage as they claim to see the entire room they’re in from a different perspective in spite of the fact that their eyes are shut. In most cases, there tends to be a form of purple light filling the room and it’s at this point that you should focus on the light in the centre of the ceiling.
*Concentrating on the ceiling light you should mentally start trying to pull it towards you and before long, in all likelihood, you’ll more than likely start feeling as if you’re floating. Whatever you do, do not allow yourself to fall asleep at this point because by now you should be fully aware that you’re floating and in many cases, you may also be able to see your physical body lying on the bed below.
Once you reach this stage, you have consciously astral projected for the first time. Now you're ready to astral travel. Here's another method if the above doesn't seem to work for you.
This second tactic is known as the gazing technique and as with the technique discussed above it should also be done when you go to your bed. As the name implies, all you need with this method is an object to gaze at, be it a picture hanging up, the moon if it’s visible through the window or even some form of pendant such as a crystal.
Once you’re comfortable on your bed, begin focusing on the object of your choice. You need to continue focusing, without becoming distracted and looking away, until your eyes start feeling heavy. In reality, no matter how hard you try, your eyes will eventually close and when this happens, you need to continue focusing on the object. Before long you’ll experience a powerful urge to either stand up or to sit up. If this is your first successful projection, standing up and turning around can be a frightening experience for some, given that you’ll see your own body lying on the bed.
You may need to practice these methods several times over before you start getting results, so the important thing is to never give up. If you let yourself grow frustrated or anxious this will only interfere with your ability astral project.
Astral projection is often hindered or even prevented simply because your subconscious mind refuses to allow it and until such time that your subconscious accepts the fact that its okay for your astral body to leave your physical body you may not be successful. An effective tool for getting past this obstacle is through affirmations which will enable your subconscious to come to terms with the aspect of astral projection.
Being able to astral project after the on the first attempt is simply not possible for some people as their mind needs to be conditioned. Fortunately there are some very powerful tools which can do this for you in a very short space of time.
For those who experience difficulty astral projecting, hypnosis may well prove to be an invaluable tool. Not only does it get you into an ideal state of relaxation, but a quality session will also prepare you for your first astral projection experience.
Audio technology has now developed 'binaural beats' which you can use to deeply relax and open up your subconscious mind to new spiritual experiences.
No, astral project is certainly not as difficult as many may proclaim it to be. After all, it’s a natural ability which we’re all born with. The techniques which have been discussed are merely aides to help you achieve your experience.
