Understanding
Astral Projections And Astral
Travel
Just about everyone has heard of astral Projections before. You might have
heard someone talking about it or read of it somewhere, perhaps seen it in
a film.
However, few individuals understand that astral Projections is a very real
event. It is something that anyone can do. More than likely you have
astral projected and never even realized it.
Let’s start by understanding what astral Projections actually is.
Basically, astral Projections is a person’s ability to leave their body.
Everyone has this ability, and we all do this at night when we are asleep.
During sleep, the physical mind rests but the subconscious mind remains
active and takes over. This is when a person astral projects, though most
people have no memory of doing this.
When you’re astral projecting, you can go anywhere and do anything. Maybe
you dimly recall being able to do anything you wanted in your dreams as a
child. You were probably astral projecting but as you grew up; you lost
this talent to disregard the bounds of space and time. With astral
Projections, your body is at rest while your astral self takes off and
explores.
So what is the astral body? This is an invisible duplicate of your
physical body with no actual substance. Your astral body represents your
subconscious will and desire. So why does your astral body always return
to the physical realm? It returns because your physical and astral bodies
are permanently connected by something commonly known as the silver cord.
The silver cord connects the two through your entire life; from the moment
you first became aware of being alive until the moment you die. The
connection is unbreakable as long as you still draw breath and your astral
body will always return.
Where is it exactly that we go when astral projecting? You visit the
astral plane which is to the physical universe as your astral body is to
your physical body. There is no universal agreement among the experts
about exactly how the astral plane is structured but most agree that the
astral plane is an alternate reality which vibrates at a different rate
than our own, just slightly out of sync with the universe we inhabit
physically and that there are many different levels to the astral plane..
Can astral Projections be dangerous? Well, the answer is a qualified no.
While you can’t lose your astral body since the silver cord ensures its
return to your physical form, there can be some hazards lurking on the
astral plane. As long as you exercise the same basic caution as you would
in the real world, however, you should be perfectly safe. Keep your wits
about you and know where you want to go before you project there.
When you’re intoxicated, astral Projections can be hazardous.
Psychological damage can be caused by astral Projections while you’re not
in control of yourself. When you don’t have all your wits about you, you
can only travel the lowest (and most dangerous) levels of the astral
plane.
You should know where you want to go and only astral project when you are
in the proper frame of mind to do so. You want to have control over where
your astral body goes and what it does.
If you take the time to get properly prepared ahead of time, you might
find that you are able to astral project quite quickly. There are also
many professionals in this field that teach different ways of helping a
person gain the necessary control to have a better experience, though many
people prefer to astral project alone, from the comfort of home.
There are also plenty of resources both online and in books which can help
you to prepare yourself. Astral Projections hypnosis recordings are an aid
which many find helps them to relax and begin projecting. These recordings
can be played on repeat until they reach your subconscious and you begin
to astral project.
Something called binaural beats, a new audio recording technique have made
it possible for many people to astral project. Two frequencies which are
just slightly different are listened to, one in each year. The result is
that your brainwaves tune to the proper frequency for astral projecting.
Like any ability, even those which we’re born with it can take some time
to master astral projecting. We all have this ability naturally, but
you’ll have to be patient and keep trying. You might not succeed the first
few times, but if you keep trying, you’ll learn how to use this inborn
capability.
Still need to be convinced? When did you last dream you were flying and
then felt as though you were falling? As the astral body, moves through
the astral plane it, feels like flying. The sensation of falling comes
when the astral body comes back into the physical body.
All of us can use astral Projections – it only takes a little practice.
How to Engage in Astral Projections
There are a number of different Astral Projections available for people to
use to help them astral project. With every person being an individual,
what works for one person will not necessarily work for another. Many
people run into difficulties with various methods though, not because the
method doesn’t work, they are not able to relax.
Total relaxation is essential to making the seven techniques of Astral
Projections work successfully. The inability of a person to relax is fear.
Common, if a person is just starting to learn how to astral project. A
fear that comes from the false belief that a person could lose their life
or be harmed in some way when they astral project. To abash everyone of
those fears, the Canterbury Institute conducted a study on Astral
Projections. This institute is also know for it's studies of the occult.
There were 2000 subjects involved in this study and all of them were
participants in Astral Projections. What was found was that not a single
individual, following the techniques of Astral Projections, were harmed in
anyway. Even more significant, everyone, followed for three years and not
one individual had complained of or suffered from any problems due to
Astral Projections.
All fears have been put to rest. Now lets look at some Astral Projections,
which are easy and have been very successful for many people. Monroe
Technique is the first and has seven steps of Astral Projections
technique.
* Start by relaxing your mind and body. Numerous techniques for relaxing
are available for you to use. Deep breathing is one and simply, it is just
deep breathing. Just breathing deeply in and out, slow and calmly. Inhale
deeply and exhale deeply as well. Relax each of the muscles in the body by
tensing them and then releasing them one at a time. Start with a hand or
maybe the toes and work you way to the top.
* Next induce a hypnotic state. This is where your body and mind are on
the border of going to sleep. Don't go to sleep. Use another called the
gazing method of focusing your mind on an object somewhere in the room
while you are laying on a lounge or in bed. Focus, keep staring at it
until you close your eyes and still see the object.
* Once you can see the object with closed eyes and you need to deepen this
state you are in. The best way is to look around (eyes closed) see
whatever you can see. It's possible you may see different forms of light
patterns and may even notice the room has become cloaked in a purple
light. Ignore this and don't pay any attention to it. When you have
stopped seeing this light you'll know that you've entered a deeper state.
Being so completely relaxed, you will no longer even be aware of your
physical body. An important happening according to the Astral Projections
of Monroe.
* This next step is the most vital according to Monroe. With the fourth
step you will induce the state of vibration. Those who have been
practicing the seven steps of Astral Projections, have stated they feel
the vibrations early in the projection. They believe that vibrations are
the feelings you experience as the astral body starts to leave the
physical body. Just feel the vibrations and do not be alarmed.
* You now need to be in control during the state of vibration. To
accomplish this you must focus on the vibrations, move them through your
body and do this with your mind. Feel the vibrations within your whole
body, as if ocean waves are washing over you. Practice this until you are
successful bringing these waves to you on demand. When this is
accomplished, you are ready to leave the body.
* The component most keyed to Astral Projections and astral travel, is
control of the vibrations using your mind. To strengthen control Monroe
recommends you practice and use a \"partial separation.\" Keep your mind
focused on the action of leaving the physical body. First start with a
hand or maybe a foot and go from the astral body. Stretching them to an
object near you like a wall, floor or another familiar object. Now push
your hand or foot through that object. When you have succeeded you can
return your foot or hand back to your physical body. Slow the vibrations
down ending the session. Stay in the position of laying down till your
body returns to a fully awakened state..
* With this step you will finally leave your body. Follow steps one
through six. This time your whole body will be used, not just a foot. Move
completely into your astral body. A simple adjustment to step six is
required. This time you are focusing on releasing the astral body instead
of one appendage. Focus on releasing the astral body Thinking how light it
feels. As weightless as a cloud, you can float like a feather in a light
breeze. Now the astral body should move out and away from the physical
body, you feel as though you are floating, or even flying.
Several other methods are available for you to try. One is the Rope
Technique, and there is the Gazing Method, and also the Anchor Technique.
Take some time and spend it practicing the seven steps of Astral
Projections and see what works best for you. There is a astral technique
available for everyone and there is one for you.
However, you need to be aware that the seven steps to Astral Projections
are not for everyone and using these techniques require a good deal of
practice. |
