There are several differing astral projection techniques that can be utilized by many for use to help them do astral project. With every person being unique, a technique that is good for one user many not be good for another user. The main reason people run into problems with any of the methods usually is the fact that they have an inability to relax.
To be successful with any of the seven steps to astral projection techniques, it is necessary for total and complete relaxation. Relaxation is most important for the success of the seven steps to astral projection techniques. Fear plays an important part in a persons ability to relax. Fear is very common with those who try to learn astral projection in the beginning. This fear stem from false beliefs that a person may suffer bodily harm or dying in the attempt to astral project. In order to lay aside these fears Canterbury Institute did a research study. Canterbury Institute, is also known for their occult studies.
The study in question was taken on 2000 people, all of whom have used astral projection techniques. Not a single person in the study was harmed through their experience, and over a span of three years, not a single one has come to harm through astral travel or anything related to it.
With all the concerns and fear being erased now, time to move on and explore a few of the unique astral projection techniques what wind up being so simple to do and people have had great success with them. The first one to be talked of is the Monroe Technique. Here are the seven steps that are mainly used in this astral projection technique.
* Start by relaxing your mind and body. Numerous techniques for relaxing are available for you to use. Deep breathing is one and simply, it is just deep breathing. Just breathing deeply in and out, slow and calmly. Inhale deeply and exhale deeply as well. Relax each of the muscles in the body by tensing them and then releasing them one at a time. Start with a hand or maybe the toes and work you way to the top.
* Next go into what is called the hynagogic state. When the body and mine are just on the edge of falling into sleep. Don't go to sleep though! This is where you can utilize the gazing method. Start by focusing on particular item while laying on the bed, and keep looking at this item long enough that when you close your eyes that you can still visualize the item.
* Once you are inside the hynagogic stage, remember that you need to deepen it. With your eyes still closed, look around and see what you can see. Some of the things that you might see include strange light patterns, or everything being cloaked in a purple light. Go ahead and ignore the light, and once you have managed to get rid of it, you will know that you are in a deeper state. Remember that at this stage, you should be so relaxed that you are no longer aware of your physical body, and this detachment is extremely important when you are thinking about this technique and what it can do for you.
* The most important stage when you are looking to get involved with astral projection is when you start to feel Vibrations. Feel for the vibrations that you will get when you leave the physical body. This is not something to be alarmed by; you should simply feel it and embrace it. Remember that the more familiar you get with these vibrations, the better off you will be. As always, take it at your own pace.
* This step might be known as controlling the vibrations. Start by focusing on them and feeling the way that they move through the body. Then work on controlling them with your mind. Feel them, and control them all at once and make sure that you can bring the waves on when you want to. Can you change the frequency and can you make sure that you can find them when you need/ if so, it is time to try to leave your body.
* The component most keyed to astral projection and astral travel, is control of the vibrations using your mind. To strengthen control Monroe recommends you practice and use a "partial separation." Keep your mind focused on the action of leaving the physical body. First start with a hand or maybe a foot and go from the astral body. Stretching them to an object near you like a wall, floor or another familiar object. Now push your hand or foot through that object. When you have succeeded you can return your foot or hand back to your physical body. Slow the vibrations down ending the session. Stay in the position of laying down till your body returns to a fully awakened state..
* The final step is where you will leave your body. Repeat the first six steps until you feel comfortable with them, but this time, instead of returning yourself to an awake stage, continue to disengage your astral self from your body. When you have mastered disengaging a hand or a foot, try doing it with your whole body now. Focus on releasing your body through thinking about how light it feels and how weightless it really is. You are light, like feathers blowing in the wind and you will soon get a feeling as though you are floating or flying!
There are several methods you can try. One is the Rope Technique, another the Gazing Method, and another the Anchor Technique. Work with these for a while and see which ones will work best for you. You are sure to find the seven steps to astral projection techniques that will suite you. Spend some time working and learning them.
However, you need to be aware that the seven steps to astral projection techniques are not for everyone and using these techniques require a good deal of practice.
There is a shortcut, fortunately! Because of the recent developments in the industry of sound technology, there is an abundance of audio tools which can help you. The use of new techniques include frequencies known as Binaural beats. These synchronize the two hemispheres of the brain, instantly putting you into a meditative state. Necessary to astral projection.
Another method of getting totally relaxed is listening to high quality hypnosis recordings for astral projection techniques. These aid the subconscious mind in knowing that it is safe for your astral body to transport away from your physical body.
Astral projection really does change the person's life that attempts it and by practicing these techniques everyone who wishes can experience it too.

Thank you for the information on how to astral project, this is very interesting to me. A few monthes ago, I attempted astral projection with the mind awake body asleep method and it worked once after many attempts. The experience was short while exploring my room a black cloud appeared there, it had eyes that were looking at me. I was afraid of it even though it told me not to be afraid, so I came bac to wake up and that was it. Iam excited to conciously go back and learn more of what I can there. Thanks again for sharing.
On several occasions i have been in a state of almost sleep, and found myself in a deep purple atmosphere with black shadows that are formed like people walking by. As if i am looking through a window. I am able to perform this at will. Can you explain where i am and what this is please?
